UP INTO A HIGH MOUNTAIN. 1 After six days, Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain by themselves. “After six days” (v. Six is an important number in the Bible. God created the world in six days, resting on the seventh. The word “grace” is used only four times in the Gospel of John (1:14, 16, 17) and only in the Prologue. Once the Word becomes flesh, grace is then incarnated in the rest of the Gospel. That is, the entirety of the Gospel will show what grace looks like, tastes like, smells like, sounds like, and feels like.

Sunday, October 11, 2020 Lesson Text: Exodus 20:1-17 King James Version (KJV) I. THE DUTY OF ISRAEL TOWARD GOD (Exodus 20:1-11) 1. And God spake all these words, saying, 2. I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out. We find the answer to this in the sealing of the 144,000 who are sealed at the beginning of the Tribulation. These are the first converts (Rev. 14:4), and it would appear from the juxtaposition of the sealing of the 144,000 in 7:1-8, followed by the great multitude saved in 7:9-17, the 144,000 become the great evangelists of the Tribulation period.
